The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers distance MBA programme to the students all over India and abroad. To complete the IGNOU Master of Business Administration programme within a minimum time duration of 2.5 years and maximum duration of 8 years depending on her/his convenience, the students has to complete the total of 21 courses. The programme has been divided into five semesters.

The students are allowed to choose maximum of 4 IGNOU distance MBA courses per semester for registration.The students will be awarded with the master degree certificate after 3 years on completion of all required courses. You may be also interested in reading about IGNOU MBA Fee Structure.

The successful completion of a specific combination of courses would lead to completion of MBA degree. Therefore, the students has to choose their subjects from the available pool of courses.We have mentioned below the method for students to choose the IGNOU distance MBA courses according to their Specialization.

  • The students has to choose all the courses which are available in PGDIM (Eleven Courses) i.e. MS-1 to MS-11
  • Also they have to choose five courses from available course for their specialisation stream.
  • MS-91 and MS-95 are compulsory courses.
  • The students has to choose any one elective course out of MS-92, MS-93, MS-94, MS-96, MS-97
  • The IGNOU MBA Project (MS-100) which is equivalent to 2 courses.
